Famous gaming streamer Dr. Disrespect thinks it would be “cool” if more games had Mortal Kombat-type fatalities.

Dr. Disrespect is considered both one of the greatest and most controversial gaming streamers of all time, paving a name for himself in the incredibly vast market that is gaming.

Before streaming on Twitch Disrespect worked at Activision as a level-designer for the game Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. After finding such massive success on Twitch he would go on to start his own studio as well.

The topic in question came up during an Escape from Tarkov stream in which Dr. Disrespect began to talk about how games should be more rewarding towards players with much more gratifying prizes. He cited the popular fps game PUBG as an example of boring games that offer poor incentives towards the victor. However, he went on to explain how the grotesque fatalities from Mortal Kombat are a much better victory reward.

The fatalities are an incredibly gory move gamers utilize to finish off a match, with it being dependent on the fighter chosen.

“I think if you win a game, you should be rewarded tremendously in an entertaining way,” the streamer told his audience. “Kind of like how Mortal Kombat does it, you know? You beat the guy and guess what? You won, you get to Finish Him. I wish there was something cool like that.”

What makes his ponder interesting is the fact that something of the sort might very well appear in the FPS game his studio is developing, albeit that’s unknown as of now. The game is being designed keeping the users in mind, seeing as they’re his main audience, so it’ll be interesting to see how it turns out.
