Following a disappointing year for EA’s Battlefield franchise, the roadmap has been updated to indicate what’s to come for the game. DICE has decided to delay the beginning of Season 1 in order to fix the core gameplay.

Originally, the start date for Season 1 was to be in March 2022, but now, DICE has pushed it arbitrarily to the Summer, with no official date yet. DICE has confirmed that there will be some changes made to the game before then, like a Scoreboard, voice communication improvements, and some other fixes.

For those who have the Year 1 Pass, DICE has promised that they will receive an exclusive bundle. This would be the Steadfast Exclusive Legendary Bundle, which includes: Zero Resistance skin for Specialist Mackay, Grasshopper weapon skin, Rapid Hammer weapon skin, Iron Chariot vehicle skin, Rib Tickler melee weapon, Resolute player card background, and The Steadfast player card icon. The bundle will be available to players at the next update.

Season 1 will include a new map, called Exposure which is to be set in British Columbia, Canada. Season 1’s Battle Pass will also include many unlocks like skins for specialists and more cosmetic items.
