Orlando Brown, a former child star on the Disney show “That’s So Raven” has been arrested on charges of domestic violence.

The former child star was taken into custody by Lima police in Ohio on Thursday, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office records. He is facing a misdemeanor charge of “domestic violence – cause belief of imminent physical harm by threat of force.”

Orlando Brown, 35, had played Eddie Thomas on “That’s So Raven” when it aired on the Disney Channel show from 2003 to 2007. Lima Police confirmed that officers had responded to a “fight in progress” that involved Orlando and his brother.

In a TMZ report, Orlando Brown was staying at his brother Matthew’s home due to being homeless. Matthew told police that Orlando became “crazy,” accusing him of raping his wife, and came at him with a broken off knife blade and hammer. He was unable to hit Matthew and eventually put the weapons down.

A History of Issues

This is not the first incident Orlando Brown had dealt with. The former child star had many problems throughout the years, including arrests, addiction, homelessness and mental health problems.

Back in 2014, a woman told police that Orlando Brown had threatened to kill her and her daughter. In 2016, he was arrested during an argument with a girlfriend and had been charged with domestic battery and possession of meth. In 2018, he was arrested in Las Vegas on an outstanding warrant. A few months after that arrest, he was taken into custody for felony drug possession and was arrested again after breaking into his friend’s restaurant.

Orlando appeared on Dr. Phil at the end of 2018 to talk about his struggles with addiction. During the interview at one point, he claimed to be the son of Michael Jackson and also the son of Will Smith. Dr. Phil suggested he had “neurological disruptions” that clouded his thinking.
