Goat Simulator 3 promotional ad pulled after containing leaked footage from GTA 6

A promotional ad for Goat Simulator 3 has been removed after containing leaked development footage from GTA 6. Coffee Stain Games had released the ad that featured Shaun, the goat in the new entry to the franchise. Shaun was discussing the preparation it takes him to be the star of Goat Simulator.

Within the ad is a montage after Shaun mentions that he is keeping busy between games. The montage included a clip of GTA 6 development footage.

The footage had been leaked earlier this year by an alleged member of the online hacker group, Lapsu$ in the UK. The hacker had access to the dev footage by breaking into a Slack chatroom. The hacker then leaked the footage all over the internet. It was circling for quite some time.

Rockstar Games had released a statement clarifying that they would not delay GTA 6 as a result of the leak, but that they were disappointed it had to be revealed in this way.

The 17-year-old hacker had been planning on extorting Rockstar Games, but was arrested by UK authorities. He is expected to appear in court eventually.

Rockstar Games had Coffee Stain Games remove the ad from all official outlets. Any reuploads to social media sites like Twitter were taken down and are still being taken down quickly.

Although Goat Simulator has referenced other developers for satire before, it looks like Rockstar Games was not accepting of having the leaked footage in the ad.
