Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart coming to PC on July 26

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is finally making its way to PC on July 26, Insomniac Games announced today. The title released back in 2021 on the PlayStation 5 and is currently the ninth main installment in the Ratchet & Clank franchise.

Insomniac Games is working with Nixxes Software to bring the title to PC, according to a press release from Nixxes. Ratchet & Clank as a franchise celebrated its 20th anniversary recently and Nixxes wrote: “We are thrilled and honored to bring this iconic franchise to a new audience. If you haven’t played a game from this series before, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is an excellent one to start with.”

The PC version of Rift Apart is set to include ray-tracing and several quality levels, as well as newly added ray-traced shadows for natural light when you’re in an outdoor area. There is also support for ultrawide monitors, with gameplay and cutscenes getting optimization for all sorts of sizes.

Unlocked frame rates are supported, which is great for those of us that enjoy listening to our PCs turn into a jet engine. There are also some choices for enhancing performance like NVIDIA DLSS 3 support and more.

Nixxes Software says that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on PC will include full mouse and keyboard support with customizable controls. Controllers will be fully supported as well, but if you use a DualSense controller, you can experience the haptic feedback and dynamic trigger effects. However, you will need to use a wired connection for the haptic feedback.

It will be available on both Steam and Epic Games, which if you’re not sure which to go with, check out our compare and contrast review on the two platforms.

If you pre-order Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on PC, you’ll get a few in-game items like a Pixelizer Weapon and Carbonox Armor set. You can check out the graphic below for more info on that:
