The Halo show on Paramount+ has become the most-watched Paramount+ series in 2022

The TV live-action adaptation of Halo has now topped the list as the most-watched Paramount+ show in 2022.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Halo beat Yellowstone and its prequel series 1883 to become the most-watched Paramount+ show last year. Although Yellowstone is not a Paramount+ original and is only available to stream outside of the United States, the achievement is still pretty big for Halo.

Although many Halo fans were not pleased with the way Paramount handled the Xbox title, it looks like many enjoyed it anyways. Within the first 24 hours of its March 2022 premiere, Halo’s first episode broke Paramount+’s record as the most-watched original series debut.

Season 2 has already begun filming, and many of the producers have spoken about their desire to expand the live-action Halo universe into a franchise.

Halo overall is one of the most popular and well-known video game franchises of all time. It launched back in 2001 and has since sold over 82 million copies and has amassed over $6 billion in sales. Similar to the video game franchise, the Halo TV series tells the story of the fight between humanity and the Covenant.

The first season of Halo is available to stream fully over on Paramount+. You can get a seven-day free trial today when you sign up for Paramount+.
