COD MW2

Activision and Infinity Ward has revealed a list of new features that will be seen in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which includes a 3v3 Raid version.

The game will be an FPS game, however there will be a “third person playlists” option that will give the player “a new tactical way to play multiplayer,” according to Infinity Ward. This perspective will give them a much wider field of view which means better vision while playing games, which may bring major changes to the classic multiplayer mode.

Alongside the new feature will also be a 3v3 mode called Raid, which will be centered around groupwork and communication. It’ll be coming out near the end of 2022, not at the launch time however.

Two-player co-op, also known as Special Ops, will be revamped with something called “large-scale hot zones,” although Infinity Ward has not elaborated further. As things seem however they plan to expand the co-op mode further than back in 2019.

However the Gunsmith customization system will be improved to give players, as Infinity ward stated, “unprecedented opportunities for customization,” with one of the updates being smoother weapon and part swapping. Alongside this the game’s anti-cheat system will be released on a new security platform, which will allow the studio to update it frequently versus beforehand.

The game’s new open beta begins today on Playstation devices and on the 22nd for Xbox devices and will offer a look at the game’s 6v6 multiplayer game. Other types of online games such as Deathmatch and Domination will be available to play as well.
