Genshin Impact, the popular free-to-play gacha game, is getting an anime adaptation. Developer HoYoverse announced a new collaboration with animation studio, Ufotable to make the adaptation possible.

During the Version 3.1 Special Programme for Genshin Impact, a three-minute concept trailer that was later shared by the official Twitter for Genshin Impact seemed to show what we can expect in terms of art style and more.

Since the trailer is just a concept, the final product will probably look different. Additionally, it may be some time before we really see any episodes. HoYoverse stated that it is a “long-term project.”

Genshin Impact was inspired by anime anyways and released back in 2020. Since then, the action RPG has become a major contender in the gaming world. Genshin Impact has had many updates since its launch and has even done crossovers with franchises like Horizon: Zero Dawn.

There is no official word on what the anime will cover or what story it will follow just yet.
