PlayStation has unveiled its August lineup of PlayStation Plus games. With the new PlayStation Plus tier system, players who have the Essential tier and above will get three free games. These are Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, and Little Nightmares.
PlayStation 5 owners will also be able to play the enhanced version of the Tony Hawk games and Yakuza. The three games will be free starting on August 2 for both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon
Yakuza: Like a Dragon follows the story of Ichiban Kasuga, who has returned to life after serving 18 years in prison for a crime he never committed. It was a change for the Yakuza franchise, and switched to an RPG-style turn-based combat system, counter to the street brawling system before.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2
Earning positive reviews from many fans, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 were remakes of the original Tony Hawk Pro Skater games. Some gameplay tweaks were made in order to create a better skateboarding experience and update the game for newer machines.
However, if you’re a fan of the old games, you can also switch the gameplay back to the original style and try your hand out at it once again.
Little Nightmares
Originally releasing in 2017, Little Nightmares is a horror experience inspired by things we’d normally associate with happy childhood memories. However, Little Nightmares takes these things and turns them into the stuff of…well, nightmares.
The game earned plenty of positive reviews, and should serve well to fuel those horror fans.
