Bloober Team has announced that The Medium will be getting its own TV show.

The horror game’s upcoming project will see co-production between Platige Image and Bloober Team and it will be led by fimmaker Tomasz Baginski and Bloober Team president Piotr Babieno.

Babieno said that the success of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Arcane, and other video game adaptations inspired them to go ahead with a TV show for The Medium.

“The latest hits of streaming platforms based on games such as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners or Arcane have shown that this is the perfect time for such productions.

“Participation in the creative supervision of the project from such an important figure in Polish cinematography as Tomasz Baginski proves that we want to create something truly amazing.

“The whole team working on the concept of the series felt they were working on something special, we hope that this enthusiasm will be visible in the quality of the series.”

The Medium tells the story of Marianne, a medium that lives across the real world and spirit world. Bloober states that it features “never-seen-before and officially patented gameplay that plays out across two worlds displayed at the same time.”

Bloober stated that The Medium is partly inspired by Konami’s Silent Hill games, which is why it got Akira Yamaoka to contribute music to the game alongisde Arkadiusz Reikowski (Blair Witch, Layers of Fear, Observer).

The Medium released on Xbox Game Pass as well.

Bloober has revealed that their next title will be an existing horror IP from “a very famous gaming publisher.” Many are currently speculating that Bloober may be working on a Silent Hill title.
