Differences and Similarities

Alexios and Kassandra provide for players the opportunity to play as either a male or a female character. However, beyond this, nothing really changes gameplay-wise.

The romance options, dialogue, interactions, etc… are still largely the same. There will be a few differences in that you will be referred to by the gender of the character. Other than that, there really isn’t anything different.

Alexios and Kassandra will still go through the same storyline with the same quests, so you won’t miss out on anything in particular.

Which is Canon?

Technically, one of the options is canon, and that is Kassandra. If you want to play the game by the character that is the true canon option, then you’ll want to play it as Kassandra.

If you don’t care and you want to play as Alexios, then go right on ahead.

This will be something that’s up to you entirely to decide. Some people really hate Alexios. Other people really hate Kassandra. If you want to see a comparison of both characters, your best bet is to watch some gameplay from each perspective and see which one you like the most.

They are both good options. At the end of the day so it’s up to you to pick Alexios or Kassandra to play in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Both are good picks and both have pluses and minuses. It really won’t change your experience too much.
