Nier: Automata, the popular video game, is finally going to be getting its first anime series. The series is currently titled Nier: Automata Ver1.1. On January 7, 2023, fans of Nier: Automata can tune in to catch the series. The release date was confirmed in a recent teaser trailer that showed off some more of what we can expect to see from the series.
Nier: Automata Ver1.1 is promising fans that there will be a new story that should please all types of fans. Additionally, there’s going to be plenty of action and adventure in the anime. It will definitely prove to get some new fans for the video game.
Nier: Automata isn’t the first video game to get an anime adaptation. Recently, Cyberpunk 2077 got an anime adaptation in Edgerunners over on Netflix as well, which proved to be a game-changer for Cyberpunk. It’s very possible that Nier: Automata may face even more growth as a result of its anime.
Nier: Automata Ver1.1 will be streaming on Crunchyroll, which is a platform that you can watch all sorts of anime on.

What is Nier: Automata Ver1.1 About?
For an idea of what the anime will be about, here’s an official description:
“The distant future, 5012. The sudden aerial invasion of Earth by and their creations led mankind to the brink of extinction. The surviving number of humans who took refuge on the moon to organize a counterattack using soldiers to recapture Earth. However, the war reaches a stalemate as the continue to multiply infinitely. In turn, humanity deploys a new unit of android soldiers as an ultimate weapon: YoRHa. Newly dispatched to Earth 2B joins 9S, the analyst currently stationed there, where amid their mission, they encounter a myriad of mysterious phenomena… This is the story of these lifeless and their endless fight for the sake of mankind.”
