The Walking Dead Call of Duty crossover

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone is coming up fast, and it looks like the upcoming season will feature a crossover between Call of Duty and the popular TV series, The Walking Dead.

Activision confirmed the details with promotional artwork posted to X showing The Walking Dead protagonist Rick Grimes as a playable character in the upcoming season.

It looks like Michonne will also be an Operator in Call of Duty this coming season, according to Call of Duty dataminer @ModenasHD, who had previously stated in November 2023 that there would be a Walking Dead crossover in Call of Duty.

It seems like the crossover is potentially tied to the spin-off series The Ones Who Live that is coming on February 25, 2024. The upcoming AMC series will be set after the end of the original The Walking Dead series and features Michonne and Rick Grimes as main characters.

2024 is set to be an interesting year for Call of Duty as well, since the franchise is returning to Black Ops. Details so far reveal that Call of Duty 2024 will take place during the Gulf War in the 90s. Development is being headed by Treyarch and it is the longest development time for Call of Duty at Treyarch yet.
