Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Reveal

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 finally got a massive reveal, showing off what we players can expect to see from the campaign this year. The in-game event, Shadow Siege, dropped players into Al-Mazrah as Shadow Company operators before ending with a reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

For those who didn’t get a chance to play Shadow Siege and watch the reveal yet, you can still watch the big reveal over on YouTube. The Shadow Siege event is also live for a few more days, so you can get some in-game cosmetics when you complete challenges.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 releases on November 10, as many leakers have claimed in the past. It will follow-up on the events from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) and feature a new blockbuster campaign that brings back all of our favorite characters from Task Force 141 and beyond.

We also got a chilling reveal about the main antagonist and villain, Makarov. Obviously, if you’re a long-time fan of Call of Duty, Makarov is not a new face. He was the main villain of the original Modern Warfare trilogy and is definitely one of the most evil villains in Call of Duty.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will also be the first Call of Duty title that allows players to bring over their progression from Modern Warfare 2. That means that things like your unlocked operators, weapons, skins, and more will be available to use in Modern Warfare 3.

There are some exceptions, like gun skins or War Tracks that may not be available in Modern Warfare 3. But for the most part, you can expect to see your progression ported over. That means that it’s a much more seamless and smooth transition and one I’m sure a lot of Call of Duty fans like.

The campaign reveal showed off some unique underwater gameplay, some more tactical fights like we’ve seen in the past two Modern Warfare games, and even more night missions. We also got an eerie reference to “No Russian” in the trailer, so it’ll be interesting to see how this controversial mission is implemented in Modern Warfare 3 this year.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is available for pre-order now, so you can buy the game early and get access to some content in Modern Warfare 2 now.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Editions Explained

In the standard edition of Modern Warfare 3, you will get the base game, early access to the open beta, early access to the campaign by one week, and the Soap Operator Pack. This operator pack is available to use in Modern Warfare 2, and with the progression in place this year, you will be able to use this Soap skin in Modern Warfare 3 too.

The Vault Edition is back this year and it includes even more perks than last year. In addition to everything in the Standard Edition, you will get the Nemesis Operator Pack, 2 Weapon Vaults, and the Season 1 Blackcell Battle Pass with 30 additional Battle Pass tier skips. The Vault Edition is a lot better this year, honestly.

The Nemesis Operator Pack includes Makarov, Ghost, Warden, and Captain Price. They will each have animated outfits with different color schemes for each faction that they belong to. The Nemesis Operator Pack will be available to use during the Open Beta for Modern Warfare 3.

Modern Warfare 3 will be available on last-gen and current-gen consoles and PC, which means that even if you still have a PS4 or Xbox One, you won’t miss out this year on Call of Duty.
