How to beat King's Flame, Fuoco in Lies of P best strategies

King’s Flame, Fuoco is the final boss that you need to face off against at the end of Chapter 3 in Lies of P. He is the boss you must beat so you can leave Venigni’s Workshop. It’s a bit of a tough boss to get down, but it’s actually really easy to beat the big fiery lug once you’ve memorized his attack patterns. There are only a few patterns that you actually need to worry about the most, so let’s get into it.

King’s Flame, Fuoco Attack Patterns

In Phase 1 and Phase 2, most of Fuoco’s attacks are relatively the same and involve more or less the same moves. Phase 2 does up the stakes, which we will explain, but let’s focus on Phase 1 and Fuoco’s attack patterns in it.

For the most part, Fuoco uses two main attacks followed by a few others depending on your vicinity to him. The first major attack is his main red attack. This red attack involves him spinning his left arm (your perspective) and then running at you.

The other red attack involves him staggering a bit and then raising his left arm to smash you to pieces.

He also does a sweeping spin attack where he sweeps around 360-degrees three times.

If you are close enough to him, he will try to kick you, smash you with his fist, or do a singular sweep around to knock you down.

Phase 2 starts at about half of his health bar. In this phase, he will run at you in the same red attacks as before. But this time, he will not run back to you and instead open up his stomach basically to spew a bunch of fire around the room.

He will also shoot oil and fire, use a flamethrower, and continue to spew fire around the room for the duration of this phase. He uses moves from Phase 1 here on top of the new moves.

How to beat King’s Flame, Fuoco

Phase 1

Alright, now for some actual strategy on how you can beat this guy. King’s Flame, Fuoco is luckily a slow dude, so you can pretty much evade most of his attacks. He won’t be able to chase you around as fast as Scrapped Watchman or Mad Donkey does, so you will be happy to know that dodging is actually a good strategy this time around.

I recommend before you get into this fight to stock up on some electric throwables. You’ll see why we need them later. Also, equip your electric arm. You can use this to shoot him a few times, but stand at a bit of a distance when you do so because he will run at you.

Do not try to perfect block the running red attack this time. Instead, just run to the side and then run up to Fuoco’s backside. You can probably get in about two or three hits here before you should sprint away, as he will try to sweep around three times.

Try to make him get away from those red pillars that are set up around the room. You’ll need the red pillars for Phase 2, so try to make sure you have at least two to rely on. You’ll see why we need them later.

If you feel confident enough, you can perfect block the sweeping attacks, but I only recommend this if you’re already good at perfect blocking. If you’re not so good with those yet, I would suggest running to the side.

If you find yourself right up against Fuoco, he might try to hit you with his fist by swinging up and then down. Perfect block these attacks, as they are easy ones to perfect block. Move back a bit and then hit his fist, which will deal some damage. He will try this another time, so perfect block every time he uses his fist.

this game is so badass

If he gears up for a kick, just dodge. It’s not really worth perfect blocking this.

Repeat this until he gets down to the next phase.

Phase 2

In Phase 2, things get a bit more interesting. The first thing he will try to use on you is the fire across the floor attack. Do not stand in this, as you will get overheated and take passive damage over time. This could really be a costly move in this phase.

Instead, what you want to do is you want to stand behind one of the pillars around the room. The fire there will not get to you, so you’ll be safe.

After that, Fuoco will try to shoot oil at you. Evade these attacks, as this is really easy to evade. He will then try to hit you with some fire bombs. These are also super easy to dodge away, so just hit dodge until he stops.

King's flame fire ball attacks

He’ll take a break from these moves and will default back to the Phase 1 moves. Use the Phase 1 strategy again until he tries to empty his stomach of fire. Run behind the pillars again.

Use your fable attacks in this phase to really knock down his health as well!

Remember those throwables I told you about? Use them in Phase 2 after he empties some fire onto the floor. Just not right away like I did here. I made a bit of a calculated mistake, LOL.
