How to beat Parade Master in Lies of P guide

We actually wrote this guide back when the Lies of P demo was still a thing, but since the full game finally released, there are some changes that we need to make to this guide. The Parade Master is the first major boss that you will face in Lies of P and it definitely sets the tone for the rest of this game. Of course, seeing as Lies of P is a tough play, you might be wondering how you can beat the Parade Master as fast as possible. Trust me, after nearly rage-quitting several times, the solution is actually a lot easier than you think. Here’s how you can beat the Parade Master quickly.

(You can play Lies of P on Game Pass)!

The Parade Master Attack Patterns

Like the other bosses you will eventually encounter in Lies of P, there are patterns to the attacks that the Parade Master will use against you.

For one, the Parade Master does pretty rough sweeping motions, belly flops, hand slams, and some related movements. I will say this from now: DO NOT PLAY THIS LIKE DARK SOULS!!! PLEASE!

Okay, now that you’ve sensed the urgency in my text, I’ll explain why: Lies of P is not Dark Souls in that it does not promote dodging and rolling as the most viable way to fight a boss. Lies of P wants you to perfect block as much as humanly possible. I mean that. If you’ve played Sekiro, it’s like Sekiro.

Do not try to dodge the Parade Master like you would in Dark Souls.

The Parade Master attacks in two phases like every boss in Lies of P usually will. Phase 1 is relatively easy, Phase 2 is where the tough stuff begins.

The Best Strategy to Beat the Parade Master

Phase 1 of the boss fight will see you facing off against the Parade Master in his typical form. He will try to slam you, belly flop on you, and thrust his arms at you in order to cut you. You need to perfect block as much as you can.

Now, there is a little zone before you fight the Parade Master where you can activate a Stargazer so that when you die (which, you probably will), you can avoid all those enemies in the Krat Central Plaza. This zone also includes a dummy that you can practice your perfect blocks on.

In Phase 1, keep perfect blocking as much as you can. Eventually, the health bar will turn white. This is where you want to use a charged attack to stagger the boss.

Once Parade Master is down, you will see a red circle on the ground. Stand in that and then execute a standard attack, not a charged attack. A charged attack will not trigger the move you want it to. Once you use a standard attack, it will then activate a fatal blow and you will knock a good amount of his health out.

Keep doing this until he rips his head off and triggers Phase 2 of the boss fight, which typically happens when you’ve taken about half of his health.

Parade Master will now try to attack you with his head in sweeping blows, and his range is a lot bigger this time. He’s also a lot more aggressive than before and he will try to slam you, sweep you off the ground, and more.

In this phase, you will need to continue to perfect block but I recommend dodging sometimes. You will need to recover a bit because of how intensive this phase is. Additionally, you can break his head and turn his weapon into a meager metal pole if you keep perfect blocking.

Just continue to do this until you kill the Parade Master. Also note that you can perfect block the red attacks, but that’s going to be a bit hard. Unless you’re super confident in your blocking skills, just spam dodge until you’re out of the red attack range of motion.

As with all the other bosses, make use of your fable arts. They can help take out more health from the Parade Master.

Reward for Beating Parade Master

Once you’ve killed the Parade Master successfully, you will get the following: the Parade Leader’s Ergo, one Quartz, and 1852 Ergo. Save the Quartz because you’ll need it later on in the game, but turn the Parade Leader’s Ergo into 5,000 Ergo and level up!

(Oh, the bosses only get worse from here btw).
