Hogwarts Legacy last-gen versions delayed again

Warner Bros. Games has announced that the last-gen console versions of Hogwarts Legacy have been delayed once again. The new release date for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game will be coming on May 5, 2023.

Hogwarts Legacy was supposed to launch on last-gen consoles on April 4, 2023, but with the delays, prospective players will have to wait almost another month. The Nintendo Switch version of the game has not been delayed this time and will launch on July 25, 2023.

The official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter account broke the news, writing: “We’re overwhelmed with gratitude for the response to Hogwarts Legacy from fans around the globe. The team is working hard to deliver the best possible experience on all platforms and we need more time to do this.”

Hogwarts Legacy launched on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 back on February 10, 2023 and has already been a massive success. In just two weeks, Hogwarts Legacy managed to sell 12 million copies and has generated over $850 million in revenue. The title has broken records for Warner Bros. Games.

Hogwarts Legacy was developed by Avalanche Software, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Despite controversies prior to the game’s release, Hogwarts Legacy has already proven itself to be one of the biggest titles of 2023.
