Aquaman

DC studios has confirmed what we’ve all been waiting for: Ben Affleck will be returning to DC to play Batman in Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom.

The movie will see the return of Jason Mamoa as main character Arthur Curry, better known as ‘Aquaman.’

However, it was clear Mamoa couldn’t wait to make a big reveal regarding the new film.

On his Instagram Mamoa wrote “REUNITED, bruce and arthur. love u and miss u Ben WB studio tours just explored the backlot alright. busted on set all great things coming AQUAMAN 2 all my aloha j”

The announcement was certainly an exciting one, seeing as Affleck was reportedly done playing the superhero role, with his final time at DC studios being the upcoming Flash movie, although that movie was delayed to 2023. As it seems however, especially after his experience working in Justice League, he was convinced to return.

Here was Affleck explaining why he had a negative experience working on the Superhero film:

I had a really nadir experience around Justice League for a lot of different reasons. Not blaming anybody, there’s a lot of things that happened. But really what it was is that I wasn’t happy. I didn’t like being there. I didn’t think it was interesting. And then some really s***ty things, awful things happened. But, that’s when I was like, I’m not going to do that anymore.

However, since the big reveal of his mystery return to DC in Aquaman 2, many are wondering how he’ll be fitting into his role.

The film will be premiering on March 17th, 2023.
