After the disappointing delay announcement from Valve, it seems like the Steam Deck will be ready to go soon.

Steam Deck

The Steam Deck promises to be a portable PC that has a similar concept to the Nintendo Switch. The idea of on-the-go gaming is popular and the Steam Deck’s features make it desirable. Starting at a price-point of $400 USD, the Steam Deck is a fairly affordable console-like PC and will allow for most games on the Steam library to be accessed on it.

Back in November, Valve had to give the unfortunate news that the Steam Deck would be delayed. Like so many other consoles and computer-related hardware (GPUs for example), the semiconductor chip shortage has hit hard. COVID-19 and its impact on the tech industry has been felt all over the world. The Steam Deck, however, is back on track to begin shipping units in February to customers who have been waiting.

There will also be a Steam Dock which would allow projecting the Steam Deck onto big screens like TV or monitors. However, no updates have been given on that yet. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see how the Steam Deck performs.

Valve released an update on Twitter recently announcing the update on shipping. Many are excited to get their hands on it, and we can’t wait to see how it performs.
