Sega announced that it will be delisting individual versions of its classic Sonic games from digital storefronts ahead of the Sonic Origins release.

In a press release, Sega stated that Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD will not be available as standalone titles as they will be included in Sonic Origins. They are planning on removing the digital versions of the aforementioned titles from digital storefronts on May 20. Sonic 1 and 2 will still be available through the Sega Ages collection on the Nintendo Switch eShop and Sonic 2 will remain on the Sega Genesis Nintendo Switch Online app.

Origins will feature digitally remastered versions of the older Sonic games, and will be releasing for $39.99 (standard) or $44.99 for the deluxe version. It will be available on consoles and PC on June 23.

Sonic Origins will also include a mirror mode, boss rush, music library, difficult missions, and more. However, to get all content, players need to preorder the digital deluxe edition or purchase the expansions later through DLC releases.
