Sometimes, we’re all craving those delicious beef sandwiches. Those philly cheesteaks. McDonalds burgers. Whatever it is, sometimes that flavor just comes to your mouth and you NEED to have it. Well that’s what happened to me! So, I set out and decided to make the most delicious meat sandwich I’ve ever had, better than all other sandwiches. Now, that might sound dramatic, but it’s the truth. After I had this sandwich, I didn’t want any other.

By the way, you can see this sandwich in video form on:

This sandwich is super easy to make, super tasty, and actually pretty fun. I’d like to note that I made this sandwich using my Cuisinart Panini press which you can get below:

Alright, lets get started in the recipe:

First, you must marinate the meat. I used biftek meat which is super thin and cooks super fast. The marinate goes as follows:

  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Dash of pepper
  • dash of salt to taste
  • half a teaspoon of garlic powder
  • half a teaspoon ginger
  • half a teaspoon turmeric
  • a pinch of caraway seeds
  • half a teaspoon of Montreal steak spice

Plus, you can add a couple more tablespoons of vinegar if you want your meat to be more tender. Then mix the meat around to spread the marinate and let it sit for at least half an hour in a plate that is covered in food wrap. But the more you keep it, the more the meat will absorb the flavor. You can also prepare it ahead of time and keep it in the fridge overnight.

Once you let it sit, take the meat and cook it on your panini press until both sides look good. Awesome thing about this panini press, you can heat both sides of it to close on the meat and cook it faster. Or, place both sides flat to cook more meat at the same time.

Once the meat is good, butter up some of your favorite sandwich bread and place it on the press to absorb the meat flavor and pack some crunchy goodness.

Finally, it’s time to assemble your beautiful creation! Start off with your bread, then place some cheese slices, as many as your heart desires, then the meat you cooked, along with more cheese. Close up the sandwich and bring it back to the panini press to melt your cheese. Press it down until the cheese looks good and take it back to your sandwich making station. Open the sandwich, put some pickles, some peppers, and anything else you think will taste good. Finally, try it.

This sandwich was absolutely amazing. I honestly thought it would help me stop wanting a meat sandwich but I’m still thinking of it everyday 🙂
