Black Adam has topped at the box office for the second week in a row and has made $111 million domestically and $250 million globally.
In a report by Variety, Black Adam saw a 59% decline from its $67 million domestic opening, with ticket sales reaching $27.7 million between Friday and Sunday. Declines in ticket sales for superhero films is not uncommon. Thor: Love and Thunder saw a 68% decline after its first weekend, for example.
Black Adam seems to be reaching fans well, however, and it hasn’t had much competition. Prey for the Devil was the only new movie in the top five at third place with a $7 million opening.
Last week, Julia Roberts and George Clooney’s Ticket to Paradise took second place and made $10 million. It declined only 39% from last weekend. Ticket to Paradise has so far earned $33 million domestically and a total of $119 million in the global box office.
Smile and Halloween Ends were also within the top five.
Terrifer 2 has grossed $7.63 million and placed in eighth. The slasher was actually made on a budget of $250,000.
