The film’s director, Taika Waititi, utilized the widely-recognized song by ‘Immigrant Song’ by Led Zeppelin, in his film Thor: Ragnarok during the movie’s promotional run. The song was also used during the movie itself. People seemed to enjoy the song’s utilization in the movie, and Waititi plans to continue that trend with the new Thor film.
As a way to promote the film just before its release, Marvel has decided to release the full, 12-song soundtrack that is used throughout the movie, which includes popular titles like ‘Sweet Child O Mine’ and ‘Our Last Summer’. The former was used throughout the film’s promotional run.
It’s a clever move to use well-known, almost nostalgic songs throughout the movies, as they tend to be what audiences remember most fondly.
Waititi, as stated before, seems to be upholding certain musical trends from Thor: Raganarok in the new installment. In fact, a third of the songs are from Guns N’ Roses alone! The 12 individual songs are listed down below.
