A video claiming to show gameplay footage of Assassin’s Creed Codename: Jade has appeared online, showcasing what we might expect to see from the title.

Assassin’s Creed Jade is set to be a mobile game and will take place in ancient China. Ubisoft first announced it back during its Ubisoft Forward event, calling it a AAA RPG title. The leaked gameplay appeared on Reddit and seems to show improved graphics and controls.

It wouldn’t be the first mobile Assassin’s Creed title. However, the other mobile Assassin’s Creed games didn’t catch on much compared to the mainstream Assassin’s Creed titles.

Currently, no word has been given by Ubisoft on when we can expect the title to release.

Assassin’s Creed Codename: Jade will allow players to create their own character, with a teaser revealed this year showing in-game footage.

It is thought to be developed by Tencent in collaboration with Ubisoft, but the companies have not commented on this. Earlier this year, Tencent did buy a large stake in Ubisoft.

What’s Next for Assassin’s Creed?

Ubisoft confirmed this year that the next Assassin’s Creed game titled Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be releasing in 2023. Ubisoft also announced two more flagship Assassin’s Creed games: Codename Red and Codename Hexe.

Red is being worked on by Ubisoft Quebec (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey) and will take place in Feudal Japan. Hexe will be made by Ubisoft Montreal (Assassin’s Creed).

Currently, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is available for preorder:
