Assassin’s Creed is getting a new mobile game, Codename Jade, that will take place in Ancient China. It will feature “classic” Assassin’s Creed gameplay.

During the Assassin’s Creed Showcase, vice president executive producer of Assassin’s Creed, Marc-Alexis Cote promised that players will get a chance to explore China in the year 215 BCE. Players will also be able to create their own assassin protagonist in the game. It will also take place in an open world.

No gameplay was shown yet, but an in-engine trailer revealed what we may expect it to look like. It does look fairly similar to previous Assassin’s Creed games.

In addition to Codename Jade, Assassin’s Creed Infinity details were revealed and Assassin’s Creed Mirage was finally officially announced. There is also some work being done between Ubisoft and Netflix to make three new mobile games, including another Assassin’s Creed mobile game. The others will be Valiant Hearts 2 and a sequel to The Mighty Quest. There is also a live-action series in early development with Netflix for Assassin’s Creed as well.
