Taika Waititi, the director of Thor: Ragnarok and Jojo Rabbit, is reportedly not returning to direct another Thor movie.

Giant Freaking Robot reported on the news, stating that the Thor: Love and Thunder director has been pushed out of directing a fifth instalment after Thor: Love and Thunder faced some critical backlash. Waititi reportedly said that he could not create the same magic with a fifth Thor movie like he did the previous ones.

Thor: Love and Thunder grossed $747 million globally. The film featured Christian Bale as Gorr the god Butcher and introduced Greek mythology into the MCU with Zeus. Despite such prominent actors and actresses, Taika Waititi did not seem to please fans with his directing.

Additionally, a recent clip surfaced to Twitter showcasing a now-deleted scene that almost made it to the final cut of Thor: Love and Thunder. It showcased Greek god Dionysus in what was supposed to be a comedic moment. However, Twitter users did not seem to think so at all.
