HBO has decided to release Episode 1 of its video game adaptation of The Last of Us for free on YouTube. Right now, you can go to the HBO Max channel on YouTube and watch the 80-minute premiere 100% for free.
The Last of Us is a post-apocalyptic drama starring Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie. Joel must help get Ellie out of a ‘Quarantine Zone’ to hand her over to a group called the Fireflies–a terrorist organization that might just be able to save the world.
The Last of Us is a PlayStation exclusive series of games by Naughty Dog and its TV adaptation has been hailed by critics and non-fans alike for its excellent quality. It has been able to get one of the highest viewing numbers for an original show debut. Almost 5 million tuned in on the first night across HBO and HBO Max.
The Last of Us airs every Sunday on HBO.
