Valve's Steam Deck dock is now indefinitely delayed

Valve has shared that its anticipated docking station that would allow Steam Deck users to display their visuals onto a TV or monitor has been delayed again. The initial release window for the dock was set to be during the first shipment of Steam Decks in February.

Part shortages and COVID-19 related supply chain issues have led to the delay to be extended further. Valve did not indicate a specific date for when they will release the dock, stating that they are “working on improving the situation.”

Valve has confirmed that the Steam Dock is still shipping and its production will not be affected by the dock delays. Valve stated that the docks are made in a different factory and utilizes different parts compared to the actual Steam Deck.

In a Steam News Post, Valve said that “due to parts shortages and COVID closures at our manufacturing facilities, the official Steam Deck Docking Station is delayed.”
