Uncharted is one of the PlayStation’s most iconic games and was recently turned into a blockbuster film starring famous actor, Tom Holland. It’s also finally coming to streaming services and will be available on Netflix in for US customers on July 15.
Uncharted was hailed for its action-packed fun and it’s sure to bring lots of people around couches for a fun movie night very soon.
Netflix made a deal with Sony Pictures last year, giving Netflix the right to play many of Sony’s films on its platform. The lineup of newer films from studios outside of Netflix has been difficult, as Disney, NBCUniversal, and Warner Bros. all announced that their films will be primarily streaming on their platforms (Disney Plus, Peacock, and HBO Max).
This Netflix-Sony deal also means that…yes, Morbius is coming to Netflix for a morbin’ good time. Morbius probably won’t see much success on the streaming giant, considering its dramatic double-time failure, but hey, if you really want some Morbius content, you’re lucky?
Uncharted reportedly made over $400 million during its time in theaters, with many fans having already seen it. However, if you missed out, you’ll definitely get your chance in July.
Although this deal exists, Netflix will not be the exclusive streaming platform for Sony’s productions. Sony is currently working on a Horizon Zero Dawn show with Netflix, but is also making The Last of Us on HBO and Twisted Metal on Peacock.
