David Warner

Famous actor David Warner was found dead on Sunday at Denville Hall, a senior center for people in entertainment.

“Over the past 18 months he approached his diagnosis with a characteristic grace and dignity,” the Warner family shared with the press following his death.

“He will be missed hugely by us, his family and friends, and remembered as a kind-hearted, generous and compassionate man, partner and father, whose legacy of extraordinary work has touched the lives of so many over the years.”

The actor’s, who starred in Omen and Titanic, legacy continues through “his beloved partner Lisa Bowerman, his much-loved son Luke and daughter-in-law Sarah, his good friend Jane Spencer Prior, his first wife Harriet Evans and his many gold dust friends”.

David Warner was born in Manchester, England, and was taught acting at the Feldon School.

He began acting in 1962 in the film The King’s Breakfast, before he would be nominated for a Best Actor in a Leading Role BAFTA award, for his work in Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment.

Warner was best known for his role in Leonardo DiCaprio’s 1997 film Titanic but also his role as Keith Jennings in 1976’s Omen.

He was often known for his role as villains in movies like 1978’s The Thirty Nine Steps and 1981’s Time Bandits. However, he also had a noticeable role in a German film, Michael Kohlhass – Der Rebell, to which he received a German Film Award.

In more recent years Warner played the role of Senator Sandar in Planet of the Apes and Admiral Bloom in Mary Poppins Returns.

He had an eventful career in TV shows, playing in Doctor Who, Ripper Street, Batman Beyond, Sweeney Todd, and, his final role, The Lobe in Teen Titans Go!

He was unfortunatley found dead at 80.
