PlayStation VR2 will officially release on February 22, 2023 and will cost $549.99. Pre-orders will go live on November 15.
Revealed in the PlayStation Blog, the PlayStation VR2 will include the PS VR2 headset, Sense controllers, and stereo headphones. Additionally, there will be a PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle that will run for $599.99 and will include the standard edition and a PlayStation Store voucher code for Horizon Call of the Mountain.
On February 22, the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging stations will launch and will allow players to charge their controllers “through a simple click-in design, without having to connect to a PS5 console — freeing up the console’s USB ports.”
Sony also revealed 11 titles that will be headed to PS VR2 in 2023, including: The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR, Crossfire: Sierra Squad, The Light Brigade, Cities VR – Enhanced Edition, Cosmonious High, Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue, Jurassic World Aftermath Collection, Pistol Whip VR, Zenith: The Last City, Tentacular, and After the Fall.
Resident Evil Village VR and Firewall Ultra will also be coming to VR2.
Sony did say that more than 20 titles are expected to be on the VR2 on February 22.
In terms of pre-orders, customers in the US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg can pre-order the PlayStation VR2 only through PlayStation’s online store. Pre-order registrations are open today.
