God of War (2018) is a great game that deals with Vikings and Norse mythology as a whole. God of War Ragnarok just recently released and has already earned tons of praise, and its story-line focuses heavily on Norse mythology and Vikings.

God of War is about a Spartan soldier named Kratos who is the new God of War. There are two story-lines in God of War: The original titles dealt with Greek mythology and the second timeline deals with Norse mythology.

Since the Norse mythology aspect is so vast, technically, if you love Vikings, God of War is perfect for you.

Crusader Kings III is a strategy role-playing game that lets players control kingdoms and empires. The goal is to obviously have your empire last until the time ends in 1453. Crusader Kings III places heavy emphasis on making sure your society is great and you can take over other empires and start wars.

Crusader Kings III also lets you play as Vikings and dominate the world from there. It’s gotten really high reviews and in terms of strategy games, it’s great!

Skyrim is definitely one of the best games ever made. Since it’s a fantasy RPG, players can choose to be whatever they want to be and design their character as they please. This includes being a Viking, of course.

Skyrim tells the story of the Dragonborn and their quest through the world of Skyrim. It’s an epic tale with a great soundtrack and definitely gives you the feeling of being a Viking.

Jotun tells the story of a recently deceased Viking woman named Thora. Since her death was inglorious, she must travel across the realms to defeat Jotunn, which are giant elements of nature, chaos, power and more. If she succeeds, she can impress the gods and enter Valhalla.

Valheim is highly rated and is basically just about Vikings

Valheim is a survival sandbox game published by Coffee Stain Games (Goat Simulator) that features plenty of Vikings. Valheim was actually developed by a team of five people and sold over five million copies in just one month.

Valheim lets you play as a slain Viking in a world called Valheim, where you must prove that you are worthy to enter Valhalla. Throughout the game, you have to collect resources from nothing and eventually go on to fight enemies of Odin.

A lot of people have likened Valheim to a more advanced version of Minecraft, since it has a similar sandbox concept.

For Honor doesn’t just feature Vikings, but they’re a pretty prominent part of the game. For Honor is a multiplayer game where you can pick a faction of soldiers from different countries and fight against other players in duels.

2. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Hellblade is certainly terrifying, but it has loads of great combat and action. For fans of games with intense and psychologically twisted stories, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is perfect.
