Ready or Not is a tactical shooter made by Void Interactive and has been gaining some popularity in the online tactical shooter community.
However, in a Twitter post by the devs, it seems that Steam has taken down the title without an explanation from Valve Corporation so far.
In a pinned discussion on the community page for Ready or Not, a developer by the name Kaminsky said that “There is an issue somewhere with Steam’s backend and it’s resulted in the game being taken off the store for some reason, but Ready or Not is still on the platform.”

Many other sources and many players speculate that the game was removed after the release of a map that takes place in a nightclub following a mass shooting. The nightclub level was added on June 12, which is the anniversary of the 2016 Pulse Nightclub Shooting that left 49 dead and 53 wounded.
This isn’t the first time that Ready or Not has gotten some attention in the news. Last year, Void Interactive split with Publisher Team17 after Void Interactive announced it would release a map in which the players have to stop a school shooting. Void maintains that it was not the reason for the split.
We’ll just have to wait and see what’s going on with Ready or Not.
