4-time NBA star Steph Curry will reportedly be signing a massive, $1 billion deal with sports clothes manufacturer Under Armor. Rolling Stone was the first to report on the news, stating that Curry’s current deal with the company will be ending in 2024, and that he may be signing a lifetime afterwards.
The contract may also include Curry getting his own subsidiary company, much like Nike’s deal with Michael Jordan. Curry began his career under Nike however left them in 2013 to sign-on with Under Armor, making $4 million per year off of the contract.
That 4 million has reportedly skyrocketed to 20 million over time after an extension contract was signed back in 2015.
This new move by Curry has confused many as him and Under Armor have gotten into hot water lately due to a lack of “understanding” between both parties, with Curry threatening to join on a different brand. However, he has come to a resolution since.
“I don’t have to raise my voice to get mad,” Curry told Rolling Stone. “That’s the best part about it.”
