At long last, after rumors and hopes, Rockstar Games–developer of the famous GTA and Read Dead Redemption series–confirmed today that GTA 6 is “well underway.”
Many of you have been asking about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. With every new project, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we’ve previously delivered. We’re pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the series is underway.

No further details nor timeline has been released regarding the game by Rockstar. There is also no indication on what the name will be; however, for right now, most are assuming that it will be GTA 6.
Rockstar recently patented a new NPC navigation system that is designed to make traffic more realistic. Most are assuming that this new feature will be brought into GTA 6.
Needless to say, Grand Theft Auto fans won’t have to speculate any longer. A new GTA will be coming some day after all.
