NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Games have revealed that the Mortal Kombat 1 beta for preorders will run from August 18 to August 21 and will be available on both Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Back in June, console players had a chance to try out Mortal Kombat 1 during a stress test.

The beta dates were confirmed by the official Mortal Kombat Twitter account. The beta will feature six playable characters and four Kameo fighters. The stress test featured only four playable characters and three Kameo fighters.

If you preordered Mortal Kombat 1, on August 18 you’ll be able to try out playing as Sub-Zero, Kenshi, Kitana, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, and Li Mei. Kameos include Sonya, Kano, Jax, and Frost.

Coming to Mortal Kombat as well are some more characters in the game’s first Kombat Pack DLC. Ed Boon revealed that the fighters include Ermac, Takeda, and Quan Chi. But, the Kombat Pack also includes some familiar faces like Peacemaker, Omni-Man, and Homelander, who was also recently added to Call of Duty.

Mortal Kombat 1 releases on September 19 for Xbox Series X/S, PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. If you preorder the Premium and Kollector’s Edition of the game, you will get five days of early access starting September 14.
