Treyarch has now confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play will be coming in 2023.

The Black Ops developer stated that it is working on delivering competitive modes, ranked skill divisions, visible skill ratings, a top 250 leaderboard, and competitive rewards with Ranked Play.

Before Ranked Play launches, players will get a chance to participate in the CDL Moshpit playlist, which arrives during Modern Warfare 2’s Season 1 update on November 16.

Treyarch also confirmed that it will end support for League Play in Black Ops Cold War and Ranked Play in Vanguard. Players will have up until November 22, 2022 to collect any remaining rewards.

“The success of these modes has directly contributed to the future of Ranked Play,” Treyarch said. “We sincerely thank you for all the data, feedback, and time played that was collected over the past two years. We look forward to sharing more soon!”

On November 16, Warzone 2.0 will also release and three-player Raids for Modern Warfare 2’s Special Ops mode arrives in December.

Modern Warfare 2 has now topped $800 million in sales in its first three days, marking it Activison’s most successful launch for a Call of Duty game in history. It has also beaten Modern Warfare 3’s five-day record set back in 2011.
