Meghan Markle has reportedly been left “upset and overwhelmed” after South Park made a parody depiction of her and Prince Harry in a recent episode.
The episode titled “Worldwide Privacy Tour” featured several instances of mocking jokes about a fictional ‘Prince and Princess of Canada.’ However, it’s pretty clear who was being referenced here.
In the episode, the Prince and Princess move to South Park in an attempt to find privacy. However, this seems pretty counter to their actions as they keep going on press tours, shouting in public, and letting off fireworks in their front garden.
In fact, one scene in the episode showed a parody of Good Morning America as Good Morning Canada where a news reporter talks about the Prince’s new book “Waaagh.” The Princess butts in that the pair just want privacy. The reporter then describes the Princess as being an “Instagram-loving bitch wife.”
According a source at The Spectator, it doesn’t look like Meghan Markle was too flattered with the joking depiction by South Park. In fact, royal commentator Neil Sean told Fox News that the ex-royals could take legal action against South Park.
Still, let’s be real here: This is South Park we’re talking about. South Park parodies everyone and everything on Earth, so good luck taking legal action that anyone will actually care about. Besides, how many times has someone tried to stop South Park? Too many. How many times has that succeeded? Basically zero times.
The people have spoken and this episode was a fan-favorite. I mean, it’s hilarious honestly. Go and watch it if you haven’t gotten a chance to yet.
