This week’s D23 expo has brought lots of great new updates when it comes to Disney’s upcoming works. One of them was their new Disney+ show coming out in 2023.
The show will be called Secret Invasion and will star fan favorite Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) as its main character. The show will also see the Skrull warrior named Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), James Rhodes (Don Cheadle), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), and many more characters that fans may recognize. Kyle Bradstreet will be the show’s executive producer. You can catch the show’s all-new trailer below:
The show’s main synopsis will consist of Fury coming back to Earth and working alongside Talos to try and stop a Skrull invasion of the planet. We were actually provided a sneak look at the show during the San Diego Comic Con event, where audiences were able to see clips of War Machine in action. The show, as revealed by Marvel’s Kevin Feige, will also mark the beginning of Marvel’s Phase 5.
“Like Kevin [Feige] was saying, this is a darker show. It’s going to be an exciting thriller. You’re never going to know who people are — are they a Skrull or are they human,” Smulders stated during the Hall H showing back in San Diego.
