Meta Oculus Quest Pro leaked footage

A video and some pictures of a “Meta Quest Pro” virtual reality (VR) headset seem to have surfaced online. An individual named Ramiro Cardenas posted on Facebook that the device was left in a hotel room and seems to remember the Project Cambria headset that Meta has been teasing since last year.

The video shows Cardenas, who says the headset was left in a hotel room, removing the device and revealing a black headset and controller. The design does look different from the previous Quest headset. Three cameras appear on the front and the controllers have a hollowed-out loop design to house sensors.

On the packaging are the words “Meta Quest Pro” stamped in the top-left corner and a graphic that shows the headset and the controllers. Cardenas did show a label on the box that said “Not for resale – engineering sample.” He also confirmed that the person who stayed in the room has since claimed the headset.

Meta is set to reveal Project Cambria on October 11 during the Meta Connect event. Although exact details regarding Project Cambria are still largely unknown, it’s anticipated that Meta will unveil its plans for the metaverse, AR, and VR in addition to the “Quest Pro.”
