Suikoden Konami trademark

Ahead of Tokyo Game Show, Konami has renewed its trademark for Suikoden, its RPG series that last had a game in 2006. The trademark was filed for renewal back in June, but it has only now circulated this week after Konami announced that they had a new game related to a classic series coming.

Although trademark renewals do not necessarily mean that there is a project that is actively being worked on related to it, Konami stated that its TGS reveal will be hosted by voice actor Yuji Kaji. Kaji had provided the voice for Jowy in Suikoden 2 and Suikoden Tierkreis.

A listing for the Konami TGS session reads: “Voice actor Yuki Kaji will be invited as a guest to represent the fans of a series which is loved all over the world, on the announcement stage for a new Konami title.”

Suikoden first released back in 1995 in Japan on the PlayStation and released in 1996 for North American audiences. A Sega Saturn edition release came out back in 1998. However, the last entry came out back in 2006 in all regions.
