A newly discovered bug in the recently-released comedy shooter, High on Life, seems to be trapping players inside of an outer space version of Applebee’s. You can never escape Applebee’s, I guess.
High on Life is the brainchild of Ricky and Morty co-creator, Justin Roiland and his studio Squanch Games. It’s been described as a crazy, wacky, crude game that doesn’t put any stops at making comedic gags.
One user over on Reddit showed footage of the glitch in action. Unfortunately, it seems like the only way to escape Applebee’s is to restart the game. You basically can’t start from a previous checkpoint to save yourself.
I mean, if not for anything, it’s probably pretty accurate. As a Midwesterner myself, we often get trapped in Applebee’s. It’s why you see cars in the lot. They’ve probably been there for years. Kind of like the Lotus hotel in Percy Jackson.
Applebee’s is basically the quintessential restaurant of America. Besides Bob Evans and possibly Golden Corral. All three of which are not very…amazing. Sorry, Applebee’s lovers.
High on Life hasn’t seen much love from the critics, but from fans it’s gotten tons of praise from fans who seem to really enjoy it. To be fair, critics and audiences are often at odds when it comes to video games and movies.
High on Life has been trending on Xbox and has actually become Game Pass’s most popular game as of late. It’s surpassed Minecraft on the leaderboards even.
