Prime Video will soon be streaming a new rom-com film named ‘Space Cadet.’
The movie will be produced by Stampede Ventures, who recently have the greenlight for the project to enter development. It’ll be written and directed by Liz Garcia and be lead by Emma Roberts. Prime Video will be distributing the film internationally.
The movie will be focusing on Roberts, playing the role of main character Rex, who becomes Nasa’s last hope as a space cadet after sloppily getting through the organization’s training program. Noy many other details have been revealed as of lately, and the show’s cast has yet to be announced as the film will begin production soon.
Matt Huntley, the Director of Prime’s Worldwide Film Licensing, stated: “We are thrilled to be working with Stampede Ventures on bringing Space Cadet to Prime Video.”
“Now more than ever, we all find ourselves in need of fun and adventure, and this charming movie will undoubtedly bring both to Prime Video members worldwide.”
Garcia will also be the project’s executive producer, working alongside Gideon Yu, Chris Bosco, and Michael Tadross of Stampede Ventures, while Greg Silverman, the production company’s founder, will be producing the film on behalf of the studio.
Roberts’ Belletrist Tv production studio is currently producing Tell Me Lies, a show series based off of Carola Lovering’s novel by the same name. She’ll also be acting in 2023’s Madame Web, a Spiderman spin-off series about the superhero. She also recently starred in Netflix’s Holidate, and co-wrote the series’ The Sinner, Wonderfalls, and Dawson’s Creek.
