One of the co-producers behind Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has just confirmed a Doctor Doom-related Easter egg hidden in the film.
During a The Direct commentary segment between Sam Raimi and Richie Palmer, they spoke about a particular scene in which Reed Richards, played by star John Krasinski, utilizes a teleportation device alongside other members of the Marvel Illuminati. Turns out, that clip is actually a direct reference to Doctor Doom.
“It’s exciting that costume designed by Ryan Meinerding, is a really special treat,” Palmer stated during the segment. “The detail of the teleportation device he uses to get into the scene is something we took from the comics, that’s Doctor Doom’s Time Platform.”
Unfortunatley for many of the character’s fans, Dr. Doom has never had a direct role in any of the MCU films. However, there is a chance of him making an appearance in the planned upcoming Fantastic Four film.
