Rogue Squadron

Disney has recently updated their release calendar to fit the schedule provided to audiences during this month’s D23 exposition, with one of the film’s being Haunted Mansion, which is now being moved back to August 11 of next year, versus March 10.

The movie will star Jared Leto, Dany DeVito, Rosario Dawson, and Tiffany Haddish and will be directed by Justin Simien. A first look was showcased on September ninth at D23.

Alongside the new date for Haunted Mansion, Disney also revealed multiple other ones. Elio, an alien-themed film, will be coming to theaters on March first of 2024. Disney’s Snow White will be coming on March 22nd of that same year.

Inside out 2 will be coming on June 14th of 2024, and Mufasa: The Lion King will be coming on July fifth.

However, one of the major changes that were made was Disney removing the film Rogue Squadron from their calendar, which was meant to release on December 22nd of next year. It was going to be the studio’s first movie in the series since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker.

It was reported last year that Jenkins, the director, was actually putting the movie off to the side however, making this news not surprising. As things stand it’s unknown whether the project will be revitalized or not at a later time.

Disney actually has two unknown Star Wars movies on their calendar, set to release at the end of 2025 and 2027, however there is a new movie for the franchise being directed by Taika Waititi, which has an unknown release date as of currently. Another film by the director, Next Goal Wins, will be coming out on April first of 2023.
