Diablo IV (We will refer to it as both Diablo IV and Diablo 4) is rumored to be releasing in April 2023 after Windows Central and XboxEra stated that they’ve heard the release window from sources close to the project.
Additionally, it’s currently suspected that details on the release of the fantasy RPG might be coming at The Game Awards on December 8. This would also include pre-order openings and the open beta in February 2023.
Over the summer months, there were rumors that Diablo 4 would be appearing at The Game Awards. Since then, those rumors have only continued to spread.
Back in August, Blizzard explained in a blog post that Diablo 4 would be a seasonal live-service game with microtransactions. However, Blizzard did clarify that the game would not be “pay-for-power.”
It is currently speculated that season one of Diablo 4 will begin in Q3 2023.
Diablo recently got a mobile title, Diablo Immortal, back in June 2022. The game was a major monetary success due to its intensely heavy microtransactions, which were fairly unpopular with many Diablo fans.
So far though, no official word has come from Blizzard on when we can expect to see Diablo 4 hitting virtual shelves. It is confirmed though that it will release on PC through Battle.net, Blizzard’s launcher.
