Diablo IV has finally released to some really high reception from fans and critics, with many enjoying its beautiful cinematics and graphics. It’s also been hailed for its fun and interesting gameplay. And now, Blizzard is already talking about working on two expansions for the RPG title.

Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson spoke to Kinda Funny Games and said, “As I sit here we’re about to launch the main game, we’re finishing up season one, we’re working on season two, we’re working on expansion one, we’re kicking off expansion two. We’re working on that now and we haven’t even launched the game.”

Most RPG games do eventually get expansions, but the fact that two are already planned for Diablo IV is interesting. Diablo II and Diablo III only received one major expansion over their time. It’s not clear if the Diablo IV expansions will each be larger or smaller compared to the previous singular expansions in the Diablo series.

The first confirmed season for Diablo IV is coming in July and you must complete the campaign before starting Season 1. There is a battle pass, but purchase is not necessary unless you really want some of the cosmetics in it.

Diablo IV has thus far had a relatively smooth launch and it seems like it’s gaining a great level of momentum thus far.
