Dead Island 2 is getting a new release date

Dead Island 2 just got a new release date. Developer Dambuster Studios and publisher Deep Silver announced that the release has been moved up by one week. Now, Dead Island 2 will release on April 21 and not April 28.

The official Dead Island Twitter account revealed the news, writing: “You asked for it, you got it. Dead Island 2 went gold and it’s coming out a week early. See you in HELL-A on April 21, 2023.”

Dead Island 2 was actually originally meant to release on February 3. However, the game was delayed to April 28. Now, it looks like player will get their hands on it a week early. Hopefully there will be no more delays.

The cycle for Dead Island 2’s development has been strange, to say the least. The game was originally revealed way back at E3 2014. It was originally being developed by Yager, then Sumo Digital, and then Dambuster again in 2019.

Gamescom 2022 showcased Dead Island 2’s final form, alongside its original February 2023 release date.

Dead Island 2 is also getting some unique help from Amazon Alexa and will allow players to integrate their voice into the gameplay. You can check out more information about this here.
