Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, set to release in October 2022, is reportedly bringing back a fan-favorite gun from the original 2009 Modern Warfare II. Call of Duty commonly brings back old weapons and maps to remaster for their new titles. However, the report is still only a leak, as the gun has not yet been confirmed.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is coming up close in release, so it’s no wonder that fans are scouring the internet to see if there is any new information on the upcoming title. The leak in question comes from Twitter user, Modern Warzone, who is typically considered a prominent leaker in the Call of Duty world.
Modern Warfare stated that the bolt-action sniper will be returning, but did not add any additional details. The bolt-action sniper has appeared in previous Call of Duty titles, including Modern Warfare II back in 2009, Call of Duty Online, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Campaign Remastered. Through the different titles, the bolt-action sniper has been a very popular weapon.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II releases worldwide on October 28, 2022. Pre-orders are currently online, with developers confirming that there will be extras for those that pre-order. The game releases for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) was praised for its graphical advancements and precedent-setting animations. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is also set to have improved graphics on a new engine, alongside a new version of Warzone called Warzone 2.
