The highly anticipated Ubisoft Forward livestream has showcased Assassin’s Creed Mirage, as well as the reveal trailer. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set to be a return to the roots of the Assassin’s Creed series with Basim Ibn Ishaq as the playable protagonist.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will take place in the city of Baghdad, 20 years prior to the events of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Ubisoft Bordeaux is utilizing the core gameplay features that we know from the original Assassin’s Creed games, which are stealth, parkour, and assassinations.
A CGI trailer was shown, focusing on Basim’s life from being a street thief and his ascent to a master assassin. His mentor is Roshan, a Persian assassin who will be played by Emmy award-winning Arcane actor, Shoreh Aghdashloo. It will feature historical figures, including political leaders and more.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is currently available for pre-order. Pre-ordering will give access to an extra DLC quest called 40 Thieves. There is also a Deluxe Edition and a Collector’s Case. The Collector’s Case includes the deluxe edition along with a 32cm statue of Basim, a replica of his brooch, a map, an art book, a steelbook case, and a soundtrack.
